The Other Q Bar and Grill

Their reputation for a great fish fry is well founded: light batter and succulent fleshy cod that kept coming via the very attentive server Ethan as I kept eating. The strange thing was that the shapes and darkness of the coating changed with each refill yet they were all good. My friend got the Build a Burger and enjoyed it. I initially had a problem with my discount, but a manager straightened it out. Mother Road draft beer was the perfect accompaniment to the meal and to sip on while looking around at the taxidermied critters and nostalgic items like the model of Budweiser's Clydesdales.

Great little neighborhood bar and grill with friendly staff and good food. Nice menu with a good selection of appetizers, burgers , salads, and seafood . The portions and prices are reasonable. The beer is inexpensive. The atmosphere is dark and is a little bit divey. They also have a patio, daily food, and drink specials. Currently, there is a Groupon available to save 40-50 % off and good for food and drinks.

First of all, the service of this place was amazing. While the food took a while to come, the staff was super polite, our waitress was incredibly attentive and practically predicted our needs; she was amazing! The food was good, but their seafood was incredible! We had the walleye and the scallops; both super tender, delicious, and cooked and seasoned to perfection! The restaurant was a little too dimly lit for my tastes, but the decor was whimsical and unique. I don't have the best eyesight, and wish the steps up to the tables were a liiittle easier to see. I do think it would be helpful if this restaurant had some sort of label on the front door itself to help customers know which door was the entrance. We'll definitely be back!

Hamburgers are big but a little over done. Still very good. I liked the BBQ sauce and the onion rings were huge. Good food but if you want a quick lunch, this is not the place. Make sure you have extra time on your hands. Only one waitress, and she was also working the bar and just the one cook. That's it. We were able to talk, not noisy so that was a plus. Definitely a place for friends to catch up and killing some time.

We were there just last night. I've been coming here about a year. I'm not sure what is going on now but our experience was not good. First I asked the server how were the nachos. Her reply"amazing". Ummm no. We were served nachos with cheese wiz!!! I couldn't eat any of them. I tried. But couldn't get past the cold cheese wiz just plopped on. Then there's the "q sauce". That was just browned ground beef. My 2 friends were starving so they did eat them. I did not. When the sever came back much later,I asked her about it. She stated oh no, it's not cheese wiz it comes out of a can. Ugh. I'm sorry but this is Arizona. There is an abundance of Mexican restaurants. If I wanted nachos like that I would go to QT or circle k.I don't. I did suggest to her maybe you need to let people know it's not real cheese. I had inquired about it so we definitely should have been told. A while later our food came out. I'm not sure why service was slow there were only 2 tables. My friend noticed she was also working the bar. I had ordered the French dip. It was half cold inside,swiss cheese not even melted and very dry and bland. The "aujus" that came with it was unsalted beef broth. I did not eat any. I just couldn't. I would have told our server if she had ever come back to check on us but she did not. My friend didn't eat most of her cheese steak. However her bf did eat his. She never even asked why we had not eaten. My whole sandwich was untouched except for 2 bites. I like to enjoy my food when I go out. This was not cheap. More importantly I was so embarrassed because I had told my friends how good this was. However I have always gone for the fish on the weekends. So that's that. Their fish is absolutely delicious. I was extremely disappointed with this visit with food and service.

The staff was friendly at first but then regulars started to show up and they closed out my tab before my food showed up and began waiting on the regulars. I wasn't ready to leave but that didn't seem to matter. My food was wrong because the kitchen staff only spoke Spanish and nobody seemed to be able to communicate with them. If you are regular this place is fine but not for anyone else.

Good food.. Terrible service! My husband asked for another beer. We finally had to go up to the bar and get it. I asked for a glass of water and some Mustard… Never got it! I had to go get my own to go box. Then I had to chase down the server to get the check. Place was not busy.. The server was occupied, talking and giggling with 2 men sitting at the bar.. she got zero tip from us.
